PRIMA CALZA ANDATA (FIRST SOCK DONE)

Ecco la prima è andata; pensavo peggio, in effetti le spiegazioni di Alice Twain sono chiarissime; l'unica cosa è che mi è rimasta la parte del collo del piede decisamente larga, va be' poco male, oggi mi sento indulgente. Forse le Calziniste inorridiscono, ma lavorare tanto a maglia rasata mi è sembrato un po' noioso... forse anche perchè avevo una lana monocolore... ora ho iniziato la seconda, e sarò paziente... non darò giudizi sulle calze finchè avrò provato uno punto un po' più lavorato, he he!

Here it is, the first one is done; Thought worse, actually AliceTwain explanations were very clear; the only thing is that the instep part is quite large, nevermind today I'm easy. Maybe the Calziniste are going to get horrified, but I found a bit boring to knit long pieces in stocking stitch... perhaps also because I had a single colour yarn... now I started the second one and I'll be patient... I won't give any judgement until I try a more elaborate pattern, he he!

CALZINISTE ARRIVO!! (CALZINISTE I'M COMING!!)

Come anticipato tante volte, ho iniziato le mie prime calze, e come suggeritomi da Berny ho scelto le Pervinche di AliceTwain.
Per ora sembra tutto facile, sto facendo la gamba... poi vi saprò dire...

Ho scelto una rosso scuro che avevo in casa, qualunque sarà il risultato i calzini mi serviranno per fare yoga, visto che ogni lezione mi si congelano i piedini!

As predicted many times, I started to knit my first socks, and as suggested by Berny I chose AliceTwain Pervinche.
Up to now it seems quite easy, I'm knitting the leg part... afterwards I'll let you know...
P.S.
I chose a dark red sport yarn I had at home, whatever the result these socks are going to be useful for my yoga, as my feet get freeezed during every lesson!

VERONICHE FINITE (VERONICHE DONE)

Ho finito le babbucce, sono soddisfatta, ho imparato una tecnica nuova!
Ho caricato le foto delle varie fasi di lavorazione sul mio Photobucket, ci si arriva cliccando sul titolo nella barra laterale, così non intaso di foto il blog.

Bene, ora pensiamo a qualcosa di nuovo !!!!
Per rimanere in tema ho pensato ad un schema carinissimo che ho trovato su Hello Yarn, sono anche queste scarpine da bebè, così nel piccolo vado veloce...
Altrimenti mi butto sulle calze...

I finished the booties, I'm satisfied, I learn a new technique!

To stay on-topic I thought of a cute pattern I found in Hello Yarn blog, even these are baby booties, so I knit faster in small sizes...
Otherwise I'll launch into socks...

LE MIE PRIME BABBUCCE (MY FIRST BOOTIES)

Come sapranno i visitatori attenti non ho mai fatto calze, scarpe, babbucce e affini; allora mi sono decisa, bisognava porre rimedio. Per cominciare ho scelto le Veroniche di Alicetwain, per andare sul sicuro con una spiegazione chiara. E infatti mi sono incasinata solo un pochino, ma stanno procedendo velocemente... meno male perchè la personcina che le indosserà sta per arrivare a breve!

Devo dire che la accolite della calza hanno ragione, è divertente e veloce... ora partirò con una calza vera, lavorata in tondo, e vedremo se sarò ancora così entusiasta.

As careful visitors might know, I've never knitted socks, booties and things like those; so I made up my mind, I had to remedy. To start I chose Veroniche di Alicetwain, to start on tiptoe witha clear explanation. And in fact I messed up only a little and they're proceeding quickly... fortunately, because the baby that's going to wear them is about to arrive!

I must say that knitters fond of socks are right, it's funny and quick... now I'll start with a real sock, knitted in round, and we'll see if I'll be such enthusiastic.
