COME SE FOSSE NATALE! (AS IF IT WERE CHRISTMAS!)

Ieri è stata una giornata molto intensa, non so se vi capita di prendere un giorno di ferie e inserirci una serie di impegni e cose da fare, che arrivi alla sera più stanca che se fossi andata in ufficio...
Tra una tappa e l'altra passo dalla mamma a ritirare 2 pacchi arrivati per me, ebbene sì! Sono arrivati dopo quasi un mese! 2 meravigliosi libri dalla mia wishlist:
E' il libro che speravo, dettagliato sulla storia e le proprietà dei vari tipi di fibre, come si lavorano e come rendono nelle diverse lavorazioni, con modelli carinissimi, tanti consigli e una ricca bibliografia.

Questo è davvero magico, l'idea che un'insegnate di matematica abbia tradotto un modello di superficie "infinita" (quella di Moebius) nel lavoro a maglia, già è affascinante, ma ora non vedo l'ora di provare la tecnica che descrive, che mi sembra abbastanza un casino, ma ho fiducia e i risultati sembrano... mistici!

Bene solo per questi due già ero felice come una bambina, e invece era arrivato anche il pacco da Unfilodi, con niente poco di meno che i ferri KNIT PICKS!!!! e della lana per lavorare la seconda versione della sciarpa a spirale, quella che ho tradotto qualche giorno fa, e nella scatola c'erano pure delle caramelle... ma allora ieri era Natale davvero!

Ieri sera mi sono provata le opzioni dei ferri, che sono davvero un'altra categoria rispetto ad altri che ho provato (anche se anche gli ADDI sono ottimi, ma non intercambiabili a quanto ne so), e poi ho letto i libri fino a tardi, e ora corro a provare l'avvio di Mobius!
Approposito per saperne di più, se vi incuriosisce, basta cercare Moebius o Mobius su internet, e ovviamente su Wikipedia c'è una spiegazione chiarissima....

Yesterday's been a very hard day, don't know if it happens to you to take a day of vacation, and plan so many things to do that when evening comes you're much more worn out than if you had worked...
Between a stop and another I found time to get to my mum's and take 2 parcels arrived there for me, yes I mean it! They've arrived after nearly a month! 2 marvellous books from my wishlist:
This is the book I hoped, very detailed about the history and the properties of different fibers, how they're spun and how they suite various tecniques, with nice patterns, many suggestions and a rich bibliography.

This is definitely magical, the idea itself that a math teacher transported an infinite surface model (Moebius' one) in knitwork is charming, but now I'm looking
forward to start the tecnique described, that actually looks a fine mess, but I'm trustful, and the final results seem... mystic!
Well, just for this stuff I was happy as a child, but I found out that another box was there for me, my order from Unfilodi, with nonetheless KNIT PICKS needles!!!! and some yarn to start the second version of the spiral scarf, the one I translated a few day ago; inside the box there were even some candies, so Christmas came yesterday to me!!!!

In the evening I tried almost all needles options, and I must say they're a cathegory above others (actually also ADDI ones are really excellent, but they're not interchangeable as far as I know), and read the books till late, and now I'll run to start a Mobius cast on!
